From March 23-26, our team attended CloudFest 2026 at Europa-Park in Rust, Germany. With over 10,000 attendees and 250+ speakers, it was one of the most significant cloud events of the year – and for us, a fantastic opportunity to forge new partnerships, gather valuable information, and experience the latest industry trends firsthand.
The Theme: The Sustainability of Everything
CloudFest 2026 was centered around The Sustainability of Everything – a theme that went far beyond green energy. It focused on sustainable business models, talent retention, and infrastructure that can withstand geopolitical and economic volatility. An approach that perfectly aligns with our own vision at Coosec.one.
Highlights from the Tracks
AI-Powered Cloud Solutions: The sessions on Agentic AI were particularly exciting – the transition from AI hype to practical, production-ready automation and energy-efficient AI hardware. We gained valuable insights for our own work here.
Data Sovereignty: The discussions on Independence as a Service and NIS2 regulations were particularly relevant for us as a European provider. The legal frameworks and practical solution approaches gave us new impetus.
Cybersecurity & Compliance: Full-stack resilience and ethical hacking were in focus. The popular Capture-the-Flag tournament was a highlight where we could test and expand our knowledge.
Networking and Culture
CloudFest lives by its Work Hard, Play Hard spirit. The Come2Gather with the all-star band Lords of Uptime, the parties Loud in the Cloud and ConneXion, as well as the traditional BierFest in Black Forest style made the event an unforgettable experience.
Inspiration from Industry Pioneers
It was particularly impressive to personally experience legendary figures like Radia Perlman, the Mother of the Internet, Brewster Kahle, founder of the Internet Archive, and Ralph Echemendia, the ethical hacker, and learn from them.
Conclusion
CloudFest 2026 was a complete success for Coosec.one. We not only made valuable contacts and expanded our network, but also collected important information and best practices that we will incorporate into our daily work.
We are already looking forward to the next CloudFest and are more motivated than ever to nurture and expand our partnerships.
